Book a Vacation Photo Shoot in Venice
Lily and Joshua were visiting Venice during their anniversary trip. They have booked me some months before the date. Last November was really warm and it was possible to shoot either in a summer dress. I advise to take a jacket with you if it's not a summer. You can put it on while we are moving from one location to other.
Can you arrange a gondola?
A lot of my clients are interested in including a gondola ride to the photo shoot. Pictures from the gondola are unique and it's really worth it. The gondola ride is a round trip that lasts about 25-30 min (it depends on the traffic). There are several gondola's stations in Venice and each gondola station has its own route. As I know all routes and can suggest you the better one, please let me know in advance that you would like to do the photo shoot on the gondola as well, so I can plan better our meeting point and make arrangements for the gondola. Please come a little bit earlier for the photo shoot. It's so easy to get lost in the city!
My favourite route for the gondola ride goes through Grand Canal and some hidden canals. You will see a gorgeous church Santa Maria della Salute, Punta della Dogana and Academia bridge, then we will go through some small authentic canals behind La Fenice Theatre, and finally finish with the Grand Canal again. The gondola ride costs 80 euros during the day, and 100 euros after 6:30pm. The gondola fits 6 persons but for getting good photos you can be maximum 4 adults and 1 small kid. The best time to take a gondola is 1 hour before the sunset (specially in summer, when the light is so bright), because the light is soft, and you can open your eyes and enjoy this magic city from the water with your Venice photographer.
